Buckden - Aerial view 1988

An aerial view of Buckden from the south, with Lucks Lane leading from the foreground into the village and the A1 arcing from left to right on the village outskirts.  This photo was taken by Airpic, Harpenden in 1988.

The houses in Manor Close (centre right) are still being built at this time but most of the village is as it stands to today.  Since this photo the 'new' doctors' surgery has been built on the land to the west (left) of the cemetery, centre left, and King George Court, The Grove, Morris Close, Wolsey Gardens and Beaufort Drive have since been squeezed into various remaining green spaces around the village.
