Walnut tree in St Neots Road, Eaton Ford, believed to be more than 100 years old
This tree, between 47 and 49 St Neots Road, was planted on land belonging to the Reynolds family. The Reynolds also owned the land behind the terraced houses. Relatives can remember picking the walnuts off the tree before the wood got hard so that they could be pickled. The walnuts had a big green jacket around them and when the pickers were finished they had lovely green hands !
